Mental Health Support

Because depression is a very isolating illness, I struggled with feeding into that isolation before I was diagnosed, in fear of what others would think, and after I was diagnosed, due to misplaced embarrassment, as well as fear that no one would understand.  From this experience, I’ve learned that you can battle a mental illness alone, but how long you may be able to sustain the strength to battle, relies heavily on the support of health care providers, medicine, counseling, and the support of close friends, as well as family.

You do not have to fight alone.  Your support system is bigger than you may know.

Let’s stand together.
